Would brown boots go with a gray sweater?

I have on a gray charcoal sweater with dark wash blue skinny jeans, and I'm wondering if brown boots would match it? Like the Ugg type boot (but not Uggs). I personally don't really like those types of boots (or any boots) but I got a pair for christmas, and sneakers/skate shoes (what I usually wear) don't look that great with the sweater.
