How do I wear this outfit?

I bought this dark olive green, loose, fluttery, silky skirt with big pockets on the sides, but I'm wondering how to wear it? There's a really cute zipper in the back too. I want to wear it to an end of the year formal school banquet instead of buying a dress. I'm going to wear sheer black pantyhose and plain black ballerina flats, but what should I wear on the top? It's going to be kind of cold so I want to wear a cardigan or something too. Any of you fashionista's out there have any suggestions?! THANK YOU! c:
